| Additional Information | in the late autumn of 2008, on the lower Danube in darkness and fog, perhaps between km 300 and 350, a momentous average happened. At a narrow point of the Danube the pushing unit >Linz< waited for a downstream sailing ship, which was the >Andrea<. The fully loaded >Andrea< crashed into the front of the pushing unit and sank immediately. Despite search measures no one of the >Andrea< could be rescued. |
