4th ship of a series of identically constructed container ships of the sonamed Evergreen "G" class (11 vessels), also see >Ever Golden<, >Ever Goods<, >Ever Genius<, >Ever Grade<, >Ever Glory<, >Ever Globe< and >Ever Greet< - on Saturday, February 9th 2019 this container ship collided during strong winds with the HADAG ferry >Finkenwerder<, moored at the Hamburg-Blankenese ferry pier. The ferry was so badly damaged that the HADAG decided in spring 2021 to scrap the ferry. >Ever Given< is also the container ship that ran aground in the Sues Canal on March 23, 2021 and blocked the canal for days. |
