after restoration at the Denish "Hvide Sande Shipyard" - on June 8th 2019, the sailing vessel collided with the container feeder >Astrosprinter< on the river Elbe near Stadersand. In the collision, the >No. 5 Elbe< was so badly damaged that it later sank in the mouth of the tributary river "Schwinge". In the accident, 5 passengers were injured. Currently (June 16th) a salvage company is preparing the recovery of the ship. |
