| Comment | view on the ferry pier and the lower lighthouse of "Wittenbergen". Since 1900 the lighthouse "Wittenbergen" together with the lighthouse "Tinsdal" (upper lighthouse, partly visible in the background), establish the leading light line "Wittenbergen-Tinsdal" for ships sailing downstream. Since March 31st 2004 the lighthouse "Wittenbergen" is a national monument and one of the oldest steel lighthouses of steel-tube staircase construction with hip rafters. |
