03:55 p.m. - in the meantime we've arrived at the "North Cape" on our excursion - the photo shows the "Monument to the Children of the World" - excerpt according to Wikipedia: the memorial is located southeast of the "North Cape Hall" and consists of seven large circular reliefs, which are arranged standing in a semicircle - opposite of them is a sculptural group of a mother and child, consisting of a female figure and a little boy pointing at the reliefs with his left arm - the group was created by Eva Rybakken and erected in 1989 - the monument is meant to commemorate friendship, cooperation, hope and joy across all borders |
